GAVIN: TWO

It’s hard to believe Gavin is already two. His birthday was a couple weeks ago, so it was time to get some fall birthday shots. We had beautiful warm weather, and with the help of some skittles, Gavin was willing to cooperate. I’m pretty sure Megan did most of the hard work, and I’m always thankful she and Gavin are so easy and laidback to work with. Happy Birthday, Gavin! I feel so lucky I get to take your pictures! :)

THE O'CONNOR FAMILY

Last weekend, my dad asked me to take some pictures while my Aunt Diane was visiting from Florida. It had been quite a long time since the whole group had a family photo together, so my dad wanted to take advantage of the opportunity. I'm glad he thought of the idea. Pictures are so important, and I feel like you can never have enough. I know most people think of taking pictures as hard work or a hassle, but it's so worth it in the end. Thanks to my grandma, aunts, and uncle who took the time to come to Bloomington, not only for family photos, but also for delicious food and great conversation!

I had to add a few bloopers. I think this one really captures my dad's personality:

Love my grandma's expression in this one. :)

I think the group has had enough!

ALISON KATE: NEWBORN

My niece Alison Kate was born on July 11th and six days later, we took her outside in the extreme heat and humidity to get some pictures. Like her brother and sister, she was the perfect model. Taking photos of Luke, Kylie, and Ali will never get old. They are all ADORABLE! I am so excited that Ali is finally here and can’t wait to watch her grow up (and take pictures along the way).

JP: ONE YEAR

Earlier this month, we celebrated my nephew JP’s first birthday. I hadn’t seen him since December, so I had been anxiously waiting to take new photos of him. He is so big now, so handsome, and so ACTIVE! We went to a few different locations one afternoon, and even though it was sunny and hot, we still managed to capture some images. Happy Birthday, JP! I love you, and I am so proud to be your auntie. :)

GAVIN: 18 MONTHS

A week or so ago on a cold and windy morning, I was able to take some photos of my good friend Megan’s son Gavin. I almost typed baby, but had to quickly correct it because Gavin is definitely not a baby anymore. He is so grown up! As soon as we sat him down and I took out my camera, he really turned on the charm. He immediately started smiling and looking directly at the camera. He is such a little ham and the perfect model. Actually, I haven’t seen him NOT smiling too many times. He’s one of the happiest boys I’ve ever been around. Thanks for letting me take some photos, Megan and Brian! Despite the weather, Gavin did amazing!

LUKE & KYLIE: FOUR AND TWO

I had one of my favorite sessions on Saturday with our niece and nephew, Luke and Kylie. They recently turned 4 and 2, so we went to Downtown Bloomington for some birthday photos. They both did great! I asked a lot of Luke when trying to get them to pose together, but he listened and did everything perfectly.  Despite scraped knees at the very start of our time and the fact that “taking pictures is not very fun,” I think we got some great shots that capture their personalities. Thanks Beth and Greg for letting me do this, and I can’t wait for the baby to get here so we can take more pictures!

CARSON & CAYDEN: 18 MONTHS

A few weeks ago, Darin & Candice came for a visit with the boys. We hadn't seen them since Christmas, so we were very excited to spend a weekend together. Of course, Carson & Cayden have grown so much. They are extremely active, so pictures were more of a challenge this time, but we still had fun attempting to capture the boys in action. Thank you Darin & Candice for making the trip and for allowing me to take pictures. Love you guys!

ELLIS WYNN: NEWBORN

It's been quite a while since I've updated this blog, but spring is finally here and I hope to take (and post) many more pictures. My friend Melissa recently had a baby, and I was able to visit and get some shots of Mr. Ellis Wynn at just 6 days old. He was so tiny and already so strong! Seeing Melissa as a mother was great. I still remember our high school days of goofing off during soccer practice or "cruisin" around town with Steph's legendary mix tapes on a Saturday night. She will be an amazing mother. You can immediately tell that she is relaxed, laid back and loving motherhood!
